Games : What should my connection speeds, both download and upload and NAT Type, be at to be considered good enough to play?

Recently, I got better internet speed from my old satellite internet. I got uverse but no fiber optics. Still live in an area untouched by "upgrades". was happy to finally get uverse. When I try to connect to online Co-op or multiplayer matches, I get disconnected. Or lost connection to host/party member.

Download: 14 to 15.5 Mbps

Upload: 1.0 to 2.0 Mbps

On a side note, I've played Destiny with no problems. I was able to play strike missions, crucible, join parties, etc. with no problems. Occasionally, I'll check my roster to see my connections at the tower and some times I'll see poor connection but not like when I had satellite internet. Before switching to Uverse, there was no one in the tower. Now there are people everywhere. Are my connection speeds not strong enough to play Far Cry 4? Also, does my NAT type have anything to do with connecting to other people? I wasn't able to use my mic with someone else because of different NAT type.
