Given that I use a PS4 and already have a few controllers that I want to use with the PS4 instead of buying almost the same controller licensed for the PS4 or void warranties of controllers, what options do I have?
Scenarios:
- Arcade Fightsticks – these are rather big compared to typical gamepads.
- Racing Wheels – these take up even more space with pedals included and are more expensive.
- Keyboard and mouse gaming, but please don't argue about preference here.
- Controllers from other consoles, sometimes called cross-gaming.
Free and open source software (FOSS) is preferred. Please include the cost of the solution in your answer if possible.
Yes, I know that there is a driver which game developers can include to make some arcade fightsticks work, but I don't want to rely on that.
