Games : Does anyone know about the compatibility between a Pocket Station and Digimon World 2?

I have a PsOne (US), Digimon World 2 (US) and i plan to buy a Pocket Station...i know the product was just released on Japan but i can still use it as a memory card. Now my question is, if i get the game Pocket Digimon World, and i save a Digimon as normally i can do on my PocketStation, can i then transfer the Data/Digimon to the Digimon World 2 Save File, being an USA save file? If not, is there any other way? Does this apply to all games?

Also, my PsOne can play pirate games, so i don't have any problem when playing a JP or USA game...but still this problem have to do something with the save files.
