Games : What's the difference between difficulty levels? [duplicate]

When you start the game, you are asked to choose between two difficulty levels, one said to be for veteran farmers, and one for beginners. I went with the one for beginners, but I haven't really noticed anything all that different from what my friends are experiencing on a higher difficulty level.

What changes between the two difficulty levels?
