I want to start playing the Feed the Beast Modpack for Minecraft which can be downloaded here, but I get blocked when opening the launcher.
What happened was the following:
- Originally, I could not log in anymore. I deleted Feed the Beast, and it's folders under %appdata%/Roaming and %localappdata%, which was the preferred way to "uninstall" the feed the beast modpack
- I reinstalled Java 8
- Downloaded the modpack's launcher again
- Attempted to run it. This is where I am greeted with a peculiar Message:
I have tried disabling my firewall to get this authlib, and I have tried disabling my anti-virus. I do not use proxies. Searching for answers online only yielded results of people complaining about the same thing happening to them.
I am not sure what the authlib does, but by the looks of it, it would seem to be the java jar which authenticates whether or not you purchased minecraft originally.
What can I try/ do to resolve this issue?
