I'm thinking of buying a 4K monitor for work and play. I demand high performance out of my equipment for both.
It is quite possible that to get the best deal, I might be buying the equipment sight-unseen, such as from an online dealer, so I need to be able to interpret the specs.
Please bear in mind that I am not asking for a specific product recommendation; any recommendation would become obsolete as newer products become available.
Here is what I demand from my video equipment:
- Absolutely no discernible input lag what-so-ever.
- No dead pixels.
- No discernible ghosting.
- Picture should be clear from a wide angle.
- Touch screen input a nice plus, but not absolutely required.
In regard to input lag, I have been told the "response time" alone does not determine if there is lag; much lag may be introduced by a chip in the monitor the processes the signal.
As you can see, my primary concern is avoiding any product with input lag.
These monitors are expensive and I very much wish to avoid being stuck with something that doesn't suit my needs.
