Games : Did i messed up the mission "Battle of Whiterun"and the "Season Unending"? [on hold]

So....i wanted to talk to Ulfric about the Greybeards Peace council.

But i was told to deliver his axe to the Jarl of Whiterun instead (I joined the Stormcloaks).

So i was like "Okay,I'll do it.But let me talk to you for a sec". So i talk to him and there's a dialog choice about the peace council.I clicked it,persuaded him,and he said yes to it. After that,I went to Whiterun to deliver Ulfric's axe and was told by the Jarl of Whiterun to give it back to Ulfric. When i went back and talk to him, he said "I'll come to your council,blahblahblahblah" And i can't talk to him(No dialog bar). Did i just messed up the whole quest or....?
