Games : Did i messed up the mission "Battle of Whiterun"and the "Season Unending"?

So....i wanted to talk to Ulfric about the Greybeards Peace council.But i was told to deliver his axe to the jarl of whiterun instead (I joined the Stormcloaks).So i was like "Okay,I'll do it.But let me talk to you for a sec".So i talk to him about the peace council and he said yes to it.After that,i went to whiterun to deliver his axe and was told to give it back to him.When i went back and talk to him,he said "I'll come to your peace council,blahblahblahblah"And i can't talk to him.Did i just messed up the whole quest or....?(I let the quest go for a moment and i just realized i have done a lot of side quest's and gain a lot of items.So if i actually messed up,i think i need to play from the beginning again)
