Games : Pixelmon doesn't show up in my mods list when added to the mods folder for minecraft forge

I downloaded the latest 1.7.10 version of Pixelmon (presumably 3.4.0) and I added it to the mods folder via libraries then application support then minecraft and when I dropped Pixelmon into the mods folder, closed it and opened minecraft... it said 3 mods, 3 mods. those where the default mods to forge.
