I am trying to install drivers for the FragFX V2 controller on my 64-bit Windows 8. I download the firmware for V2 from the Splitfish site but the update software throws an "Update Error" and Windows does not recognize any changes. I know the device is being detected in Windows because when I plug it in, a blue light flashes, there is a beep and in Device Manager in HID an entry for HID compliant game controller shows up. However, that entry has no drivers.
Google shows a number of sites offering PC drivers for the V2 but running anyone of them shows threat detection of MalSign.Generic trojan on my AVG so I'm not sure if I should run it. Can anyone help please?
