Games : Do vassal stats affect the taxes and levy size they grant you?

So far I've always assumed that vassals with high martial and stewarship stats provided you more levies and more taxes. Is seemed so logical I didn't really bother to check if that was really the case.

Now I've noticed a 2012 answer and a 2014 comment claiming this is not the case, conflicting with another answer saying otherwise.

So… who's correct?
